Terms of Service
Last updated: July 31, 2026
By using Moddy (“the bot”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree,
don’t use the bot.
What Moddy does
Moddy converts Minecraft modpacks between CurseForge and Modrinth format,
and can notify a channel when a watched modpack releases a new version.
It’s provided as a free, best-effort personal project — not a commercial
product with guaranteed uptime or support.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Use the bot to process files you don’t have the right to distribute or
convert.Attempt to abuse, overload, or disrupt the bot’s operation (e.g.
deliberately circumventing rate limits, submitting malicious files, or
automating requests beyond normal use).Use the bot for any unlawful purpose.
Violating these may result in your access to the bot being restricted or
revoked, at the operator’s discretion.
No warranty
Moddy is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. Specifically:
Conversion accuracy isn’t guaranteed. Mods that don’t exist on the
target platform get bundled as raw files, and the bot will tell you when
this happens — but you’re responsible for verifying a converted pack
actually works before relying on it (e.g. for a server launch or event).Discord’s own attachment size limits apply and are outside this bot’s
control. Some packs may not be deliverable through Discord as a result.Third-party APIs (CurseForge, Modrinth) can change, rate-limit, or go
down independent of anything this bot does, which can cause conversions
to fail or behave unexpectedly. No uptime guarantee. The bot may be offline for maintenance, hosting
issues, or any other reason without notice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the bot’s operator is not liable
for any damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) Moddy,
including but not limited to a modpack that fails to load correctly after
conversion, lost time, or any indirect or consequential damages.
Third-party services
Using Moddy means your requests are relayed to CurseForge’s and Modrinth’s
APIs to perform conversions. Your use of those platforms is separately
governed by their own terms of service.
Changes to the bot or these terms
The operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue Moddy, or update these
terms, at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the
updated terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated”
date above.
Termination
The operator may restrict or terminate your access to the bot at any time,
for any reason, without notice — including for violating the acceptable
use section above.
